Here was someone whose life I could somehow picture. For the first time in my life I saw I had a choice. SaveLife Wants Citizens to Help Accident Victims:"The organisation is trying to open up channels of revenue by training people in life-saving techniques in return for a small fee. “Moreover, it’s a time-bound organisation. I hope that my mission will be achieved in five to seven years, after which we won’t need SaveLife anymore,” he says. Tewari also feels his trauma care models are replicable and people can pick them up to learn and implement life-saving strategies in future. For him, his organisation is just the means to an end. The John Templeton Foundation is one of the largest foundations in the country supports open-minded inquiry related to seeking answers to life's Big Questions of human purpose, and encourages conversation and discovery at the intersections of science and faith. Jim comes to the Foundation from the Arizona Community Foundation, and will begin his tenure on August 26, 2013. (June 2013)

Scott Warren (EG '10)'s Generation Citizen receives $190,000 grant from the Knight Foundation
The grant from Knight Foundation is Generation Citizen's largest one-time grant to-date. The Foundation's support will allow the organization to evaluate their work and to demonstrate that engaging high school students in the political process on a tangible and local level creates change in our communities and provides a civic education that creates aware, informed and effective citizens. Donnel Baird (BMA '12)'s BlocPower receives $2mm grant from the United States Department of Energy
The DOE's investment in BlocPower will allow the organization to help small commercial buildings save money by saving energy. Donnel will utilize crowd-sourcing to help install energy efficiency retrofits in low-income communities across the United States, and will create jobs for local residents in those communities in order to carry out the work.
